Sen. Elizabeth Warren attacked President Donald Trump in a series of rapid-fire tweets Friday, rebuking him for trying to distract attention from the indictments of campaign aides and warning that his tweets won't keep his people out of jail.

The fiery Massachusetts Democrats has been in war of words with Trump since the president started mocking the senator for claiming she has American-Indian heritage. He regularly calls her "Pocahontas" in his own tweets.

Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, and another ex-campaign aide were indicted this week by the special counsel investigating Russia interference in last year's presidential election. A third campaign aide has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and is cooperating with the probe.
