Tuesday, 11 December 2018 08:57 AM EST

More than 10 people are seeking to replace John Kelly White House chief of staff, U.S. President Donald Trump said in a tweet Tuesday as he seeks to fill the job after his top choice bowed out.

He criticized reporting on the job search, hittng "Fake News" for deliberately misrepresenting the process.

"Fake News has it purposely wrong. Many, over ten, are vying for and wanting the White House Chief of Staff position. Why wouldn’t someone want one of the truly great and meaningful jobs in Washington. Please report news correctly. Thank you!" Trump wrote.
