President Donald Trump pointed out economic gains and said passing tax reform is "looking good" in a lengthy tweet Tuesday morning.
Trump referenced three important economic measures — consumer confidence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and unemployment rate — as he tried to convince Americans things are going well under his guidance.
Bloomberg reported that U.S. consumer confidence in November hit a 17-year high, rising to 129.5. Tuesday morning, the Dow Jones was around 24,500.
Also last month, U.S. employers added 228,000 jobs and the unemployment rate remained at a 17-year low.
The House and Senate have both passed varying versions of tax reform. Lawmakers are now working on putting together a final proposal to send through the legislative process.
