Donald Trump, who last week tore into a fire inspector in Colorado, took aim at yet another fire inspector on Monday, this time in Columbus, Ohio.
"They said in this massive building, you're not allowed to have any more than 1,000 people, and that's nonsense," Trump during a rally at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, according to
Politico.
"We could have had four, five, 6,000 people. They've all been turned away. You saw them ... [It's a] disgrace ...
"The fire marshal said he's not allowed to allow any more even though the building holds many thousands of people. So I just wanted to tell you that. That's politics at its lowest."
Last week, the Republican presidential nominee got stuck in an elevator in Colorado for 30 minutes and had to be rescued by the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Officials said Trump and 10 others got trapped inside the elevator at The Mining Exchange Resort. Firefighters opened the top elevator hatch and lowered a ladder into the elevator.
Later, the billionaire real-estate tycoon suggested that the fire marshal had been politically motivated to keep people away.
"Hey, maybe they're a Hillary person. Could that be possible? Probably," Trump said.
