President Donald Trump has nominated the first woman ever to be the U.S. attorney in South Florida.

She is Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Ariana Fajardo Orshan, a Florida former state prosecutor.

If she is OK'd by the Senate, Fajardo will replace Benjamin Greenberg to oversee justice along Florida's southeast coast from Vero Beach to Key West, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

Fajardo, 46, was appointed to the bench in 2012 by Gov. Rick Scott.
