A Fox News host fired back at President Donald Trump this week after the latter's recent attacks on the network, saying no one at the cable news network is on Trump's payroll.
"Your World" host Neil Cavuto ended his show Thursday with a monologue focused on Trump, The Washington Post reported.
"Mr. President, we don't work for you. I don't work for you," Cavuto said. "My job is to cover you, not fawn over you or rip you. Just report on you."
Trump earlier this week blasted the network he has praised countless times, saying Wednesday on Twitter, "We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn't working for us anymore!"
Cavuto, who is sometimes critical of Trump's actions and policies, took exception to that.
"It is called being fair and balanced, Mr. President, yet it is fair to say you're not a fan when that balance includes stuff you don't like to hear or facts you don't like to have questioned."
Trump often appears on shows that air on Fox News and Fox Business Network, including "Fox and Friends."
