President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to congratulate and heap praise on his "talented partner," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Under McConnell's guidance, the Senate early Wednesday passed the tax reform legislation, which will hit the president's desk after the House re-votes on the bill that required updated language over minor technicalities.
It's a huge win for both the president and McConnell, who suffered several humiliating losses in the Senate's bid to pass healthcare reform over the summer.
Trump will hold a ceremony later Wednesday to celebrate the bill's signing, though he's not expected to actually sign the legislation until later, possibly the new year, over a looming spending bill that has come due.
