President Donald Trump on Wednesday celebrated CNN's boycott of the White House Christmas party with a boycott idea of his own.

The cable news network giant announced Tuesday that it would not attend the party.

"In light of the president's continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as his invited guests," it said.

Trump took another whack at CNN over the weekend, saying it represents the U.S. poorly to the rest of the world, and then Monday proposed a fake news trophy competition.
