President Donald Trump took a shot at House conservatives Sunday for aiding the leftist resistance, tweeting "Democrats are smiling."
The House Freedom Caucus, Club for Growth, and The Heritage Foundation are three conservative groups in Washington, D.C.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and President Trump's American Health Care Act vote was pulled Friday when the votes did not come from conservatives who were against supporting government involvement and spending in healthcare.
Trump mocked the Catch-22 in the conservative's own resistance to the White House's healthcare agenda, suggesting a vote against the AHCA meant a vote for funding for Planned Parenthood – and indirectly abortions – and the status quo on keeping Obamacare in place.
Trump previewed Sunday's Twitter shot Friday morning before the vote was pulled with a tweet targeting the Freedom Caucus' opposition to the AHCA.
