Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez on Tuesday vowed to "hold this president accountable" if Democrats regain the majority in the House this November.
A guest on CNN's "New Day" program, Perez dodged answering the direct question of whether Democrats would make the last two years of President Donald Trump's tenure an endless investigation loop, but he hinted at it.
"Listen, this is the most dangerous president of our lifetime," Perez told CNN. "The culture of corruption in Washington, D.C., is overwhelming. I don't think I've ever seen more scandal in a shorter period of time than we've seen in this White House."
Perez's comments come in the aftermath of a report that Republicans have compiled a list of all the investigations - nearly 20 - they expect Democrats to launch if they regain control of the House.
"We need to hold this president accountable. There are no guardrails in Washington. The Supreme Court is not a guardrail. The Republican Congress has a sock in their mouth. And so we need accountability here,” Perez told CNN.
