President Donald Trump on Thursday endorsed Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., in the upcoming GOP primary on August 28.
Yoho, who was first elected to represent Florida’s 3rd Congressional District in 2013, faces a primary challenger in construction executive Judson Sapp, who is the CEO of W.J. Sapp & Son, Inc. According to Florida Politics, Yoho has raised about three times as much as Sapp, having about $430,000 in cash-on-hand compared to Sapp’s $133,000.
If Yoho wins the primary, he will face one of three Democrats vying for their party’s nomination.
