Conservative commentator Sean Hannity ripped the Republican Party during a radio appearance Monday, saying the party as we know it is dead.
"Here's my view on the Republican Party. It is a dead party. They are morally corrupt, they are weak. They are ineffective, they're vision-less, and they have no identity," Hannity told Steve Bannon on SiriusXM 125.
Hannity pointed out that dozens of House Republicans who voted to repeal Obamacare in years past voted the opposite way this year when they knew the GOP's healthcare efforts were for real and not just a political statement under former President Barack Obama.
"I do believe I've never changed," he said. "I do believe the Republican Party left me, and I feel it is heartbreaking to me, because so many people trusted them in 2010, 2014 — 'give us the House, give us the Senate' — then they get the White House and they turn on a man that's advocating the same principles that they have been quoting for years on the campaign trail."
Hannity added that people who oppose President Donald Trump "want to destroy this president, they want to stop this agenda. All these people that say they care about minorities and poor people and this identity political group and that identity political group, they are full of crap.
"This is the moment in a generation that we can fix this country, get those people back to work, out of poverty, off of food stamps, find homes, becoming energy independent, securing our border, and making this a better country."
