President Donald Trump's "unpredictable tariffs" are causing harm to the United States' economy and, more importantly, American citizens, former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci told Newsmax TV.
Scaramucci was on Friday's "Newsmax Now" and had some choice words to say about Trump's trade war with the Chinese, which has amounted to both sides placing tariffs on each other's products.
"He is fighting with the Chinese in a way that none of his advisers advised him to do. It's his haphazard, unpredictable tariffs strategy that's now taken $1 trillion out of the U.S. stock market in the last three weeks. And there's no end in sight to that," Scaramucci said.
"You just pointed out that he's going to raise tariffs. Your viewers know, they are a very sophisticated people, that tariffs are a tax on people. It's a regressive tax on the American consumer."
