Limbaugh: Gingrich 'Going for Jugular' vs. Romney

Newt Gingrich is “ticked off” at Republican rival Mitt Romney and is “going for the jugular” against the former Massachusetts governor, Rush Limbaugh said today on his radio show.

“He is livid,” Limbaugh said of the former House speaker. “It’s safe to say that Romney’s ads took Newt out. Those ads worked. They took the bottom right out of Newt’s foundation.”

Gingrich finished fourth in the caucuses, in which Romney beat former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum by a mere eight votes and Texas Rep. Ron Paul finished third.

“The gloves are coming off,” Limbaugh said. “Newt’s in this to destroy Romney now. Newt may be more motivated to destroy Romney than to even win this.”
