RNC: 'Great American Comeback Is Underway'

The Republican National Committee says a new jobs report proves the American economy is bouncing back and "smashing expectations."

The RNC made its comments in a tweet posted Thursday morning. It wrote: “This is HUGE! 4.8 Million jobs added in June, SMASHING expectations. The Great American Comeback is underway!”

In June, nonfarm payrolls increased by 4.8 million jobs, according to the Labor Department. The number marked the most since the government began keeping records in 1939..

The figure topped projections by some economists who had predicted payrolls increasing by 3 million jobs in June.
