National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Steve Stivers is keeping his promise to diversify the House Republicans' fundraising arm, Politico reported.
The Ohio Republican's vice-chairs and deputies include everyone from centrists Republicans to arch-conservative House Freedom Caucus members. And Politico noted lawmakers like sophomore California Mimi Walters to more senior members such as seven-term Rep. Mike Conaway from Texas.
Walters will serve as Stivers' top deputy along with Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer. Rep. Ann Wagner, R-Mo., will continue to lead NRCC fundraising, the website reported.
"Success in 2018 depends on teamwork and the support of all the members of the GOP conference," Stivers said. "I'm proud to be joined by so many committed and talented deputy chairs and vice-chairs that will ensure we grow our House majority and deliver for the American people."
Stivers' team also includes some early supporters of President-elect Donald Trump. Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York will become a finance deputy, and Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio will center his attorney on regional efforts, according to the website.
