The White House has not given up on its campaign to repeal the Affordable Care Act despite the setback in the Senate, Politico reported.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., will meet with some aides to President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price on Monday, according to the senator's aide and Republican officials. According to unnamed sources, several Republican governors are expected in Washington, including Govs. Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Doug Ducey of Arizona.

Last Friday, Sens. Cassidy, Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Dean Heller, R-Nev., met with Trump to talk the Cassidy-Graham healthcare proposal. Trump reportedly pushed his aides to find a solution to the GOP's problems repealing Obamacare, and sees the Cassidy-Graham proposal as a potential solution.

White House officials are trying to bring Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows of North Carolina into the fold.

Trump himself railed against the healthcare system on Twitter Monday morning.
