Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel flipped the bird to a consultant after being asked if he would run for president in 2020, The Hill reports
The gesture was delivered twice to consultant Neil Hare after the question was floated to Emanuel at BLT Steak, a Washington, D.C. restaurant close to the White House, according to the website.
The Hill notes Emanuel is famous for his coarse language and caustic responses. This one brought laugher from the crowd at the steakhouse bar.
The Chicago Tribune reports the mayor had met with President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday in New York to discuss immigration.
Aides say Emanuel had delivered a letter to Trump from big-city mayors advocating for young immigrants, according to the newspaper.
