President has an eight point lead among likely Virginia voters over GOP challenger , a new
Washington Post poll shows.
Obama leads Romney 52 percent to 44 percent among likely voters. Obama leads on 10 of 11 issues tested in the poll, including handling the economy, Medicare, military spending, and taxes. Romney holds a four-point lead on just one issue, handling the federal deficit.
The poll was conducted Sept. 12-16 and surveyed 1,104 Virginia adults.
