Americans give President Barack Obama a net positive rating for his response to the terrorist attack in Orlando, a new poll shows.
Further, more than half disapprove of Donald Trump's reaction and are split on how Hillary Clinton handled the massacre.

survey posted Wednesday, also shows 57 percent of Americans describe the weekend shooting at the Orlando gay nightclub as both an act of terrorism and a hate crime; 14 percent think it was mostly a terror act, and 25 percent think it was mostly a hate crime.
The poll also finds a split verdict on how intelligence agencies performed, with 42 percent saying the agencies had information that could have prevented the attack, while 42 percent disagree.
Here's the breakdown from the survey
- 44 percent of Americans approve of Obama's response; 34 percent disapprove; about a quarter have no opinion
- 51 percent disapprove of the way Trump is responding to the Orlando attack; 25 percent approve.
- 36 percent approve of Clinton's handling of the attack; 34 percent disapprove.
- 62 percent of Americans think the United States should not temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country, as Trump has called for; 31 percent agree with the temporary ban.
In a partisan tally, 79 percent of Democrats and 62 percent of independents do not support a Muslim ban; 56 percent of Republicans do support a ban.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
