Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., has a slim two-point lead over Republican Gov. Rick Scott, in the Florida Senate race, according to two separate polls.
A survey conducted for the Florida Politics website by St. Pete Polls, found Nelson backed by 49.3 percent of voters, compared to Scott, who was favored by 47.4 percent. A total of 3.3 percent said they were undecided.
The poll of 2,470 likely Florida voters was conducted from Oct. 30-31. It has a margin of error of two percent.
Another poll, conducted by the Trafalgar Group showed Nelson favored by 49.4 percent of voters and Scott backed by 47.2 percent. A total of 3.5 percent said they had not made a decision about the race.
The poll, conducted Oct. 29-30, surveyed 2,543 likely voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 1.9 percent.
