Trump: Pelosi Is a 'Weak and Pathetic Puppet'

President Donald Trump called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., a "weak and pathetic puppet" on Twitter on Thursday in response to a letter she sent to her Democratic colleagues criticizing his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump tweeted:

"She is totally incompetent & controlled by the Radical Left, a weak and pathetic puppet. Come back to Washington and do your job!"

The president also criticized Pelosi for allegedly deleting a video where she encouraged San Francisco residents to travel to the city's Chinatown as coronavirus began to spread throughout the United States.

Trump tweeted:

"Crazy Nancy Pelosi deleted this from her Twitter account. She wanted everyone to pack into Chinatown long after I closed the BORDER TO CHINA."

Trump continued:

"Based on her statement, she is responsible for many deaths. She's an incompetent, third-rate politician!"

Pelosi published a letter Tuesday, claiming Trump has shown poor leadership during the pandemic, saying he "dismantled the infrastructure handed to him which was meant to plan for and overcome a pandemic, resulting in unnecessary deaths and economic disaster."

Pelosi also said, Trump "was warned about the pandemic" in January but "took insufficient action and caused unnecessary death and disaster."
