President Joe Biden was sucked into the cancel culture when he yanked the Keystone XL Pipeline permit, destroying Wisconsin jobs, says Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis.
"Giving one person — the president — the ability to really disrupt industry through executive orders has costs," Gallagher told "The Cats Roundtable" Sunday on WABC 770 AM-N.Y.
"We saw it in Wisconsin with the cancellation of the Keystone Pipeline. There were 2,000 Wisconsin jobs tied to that project – union jobs, good-paying jobs – and with a stroke of the pen Biden has completely destroyed those jobs. I hope he reverses course because this is not the way to govern."
But even worse amid the Biden administration is "misguided" appeasement on China, said Gallagher.
"China is my primary concern; China is our biggest foreign policy threat; it's really our only existential competitor," he said. "My concern is that the Biden administration will reverse a lot of the progress we made in the last four years under the Trump administration.
"Trump's foreign policy placed China the front and center as our foremost geopolitical foe," he continued, concluding, "any attempt by Biden to reverse the progress, to weaken our approach toward China, would be misguided."
