Mike Brzezinski, the cohost of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," slammed White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, after the press secretary defended a tweet from President Donald Trump in which he criticized Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
In the tweet, Trump said Gillibrand would "do anything" for campaign contributions.
"I seriously support you in your quest for truth, in your quest for goodness, in your quest for love of country, because you haven't made it there yet," Brzezinski said Wednesday on "Morning Joe."
The cohost also rebuked men in Trump's administration. "I'm talking about the entire White House, all the men around this president. Do you really go home to your wives and daughters and say this president knows what he's doing, this president stands up for women? Do you really do that? Your wives should kick you out," the cohost said.
Brzezinski also address the president's Gillibrand tweet.
"The president should have taken it down. The president should have apologized if he didn't take it down. He should have apologized for hurting Sen. Kirsten Gilllibrand's feelings, at least. But he should have apologized for being a sexist pig, for sexually harassing on Twitter, for using sex to denigrate women," Brzezinski said Wednesday on "Morning Joe."
Gillibrand responded on Wednesday, saying she believed Trump's comment was a "sexist smear."
