First lady Melania Trump admitted on Thursday that she cannot trust certain people who work in the White House, telling ABC News that “you always need to watch your back.”
When asked if there have been people working in her husband’s White House that she couldn’t trust, Trump said, “yes,” and said that she’s informed her husband, and that “some people, they don’t work there anymore.”
But when asked if there are still people working in the current administration that she can’t trust, Trump said yes, “it’s harder to govern,” and “you always need to watch your back.”
During an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning, President Donald Trump responded to a question about his wife’s comments. The president said that his lack of experience in Washington was to blame for some of his initial choices for staff.
“Are there some I’m not in love with? Yes, and we’ll weed them out,” he said.
In her interview on Thursday, which touched on her anti-cyberbullying initiative, Melania Trump also said, “I could say I’m the most bullied person in the world.”
“One of them, if you really see what people are saying about me.”
