Conservative talk-show host Mark Levin took to Twitter on Thursday for a blistering takedown of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for her articles delay, demanding that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell "declare the impeachment null and void" to block the House speaker from trying to "cripple the presidency and blackmail" the chamber.

Referencing a New York magazine report Thursday, Levin said that Pelosi "was apparently advised by left-wing Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe to delay sending the impeachment to the Senate.

"So, she's unilaterally sitting on the impeachment," Levin continued in the first of a four-tweet rant. "This is another brazen unconstitutional act."

He continued in the second post: "Here's what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response: The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment.

"Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senate's power to act on its constitutional authority.

"McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void, as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely sending it to the Senate for adjudication," Levin then tweeted.

"McConnell," he said in the last post, "has no less authority to unilaterally make such a decision than Pelosi does to withhold the administrative notification of an impeachment to the Senate, either indefinitely or with conditions.

"Her effort to cripple the presidency and blackmail the Senate must be defeated."

Under intense questioning Thursday by reporters at her weekly press briefing, Pelosi said she would not forward the impeachment articles against President Donald Trump to the Senate until Republican leaders outlined the trial process.

"I would like to see a fair process," Pelosi said, "but we'll see what they have — and we'll be ready."
