Low-polling GOP presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham didn't make the cut for a key candidate forum in his home state of South Carolina.
According to the Greenville News, the state's senior senator in August didn't log the minimum 1 percent support in the polling averages tracked by Real Clear Politics to participate in the Heritage Action forum Sept. 18.
Graham is listed at 0 percent in the website's average of three polls last month, the Greenville News reports.
The most recent Real Clear Politics averaging shows Graham dead-last in the GOP field, with 0.3 percent support.
Also nudged out by the numbers are former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore and former New York Gov. George Pataki, the Greenville News reports.
The conservative Heritage Action group hasn't announced which of the 14 other candidates accepted an invite to the forum, which is expected to draw an audience of 10,000, the Greenville News reports.
Graham campaign spokesperson Brittany Bramell tells the Greenville News that Graham will be stumping in in Iowa Sept. 18.
The news is the latest hit for the beleaguered candidate, following a recent poll showing
voters want him to quit the race. The senator himself has conceded about his low number that
"I've got nobody to blame but me."
