A social media post from 2014 showing President Donald Trump standing arm in arm with indicted Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas appears to refute the president's claims he does not "know" the indicted subject, according to Politico.
President Trump has sought to distance himself from the two Giuliani associates indicted for illicit foreign influence and campaign finance violations.
"I don't know those gentleman," Trump told reporters this week of alleged contact with Parnas and his business partner and co-defendant Igor Fruman. "Maybe they were clients of Rudy. You'd have to ask Rudy."
A photo on the Facebook of Shawn Jaros, also known as Shawn Jarosovich, suggest the president is closer to Parnas than the president has let on, and other Facebook comments suggest Parnas had discussed access to the president, according to Politico.
Parnas lawyer, John Dowd, who has also represented President Trump, said he did not know anything about their interactions and declined to answer further questions, per Politico.
Parnas has been quoted in media in 2016 as having been a friend of the Trump's and his son, Aaron, volunteered for the Trump campaign in Florida in 2016, according to the report.
