Laura Ingraham Questions Trump's Afghanistan Strategy

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham slammed President Donald Trump's new strategy for the war in Afghanistan.

Her comments came in two Twitter postings. The first was in response to Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, who had called Trump's new policy "a bold step."

Who's going to pay for it? What is our measure of success? We didn't win with 100K troops. How will we win with 4,000 more? https://t.co/XHj9GpJzaZ

In the second tweet, posted Tuesday morning, Ingraham added:

I thought we were going to drain the swamp in Washington, not clear the desert in Afghanistan. https://t.co/gQFnQjoj0n

Ingraham has been a longtime supporter of Trump and at one time was seen as a possible White House press secretary, The Hill noted.
