With less than four weeks until Louisiana's all-party primary, and in the re-election fight of her career, Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu is replacing her campaign manager and bringing in old hands from previous Senate runs.
The Times-Picayune reports Adam Sullivan is out as campaign manager, though he'll continue as an adviser, replaced by Ryan Berni, who ran Mayor Mitch Landrieu's re-election campaign, and was his communications director.
The mayor is Landrieu's brother.
Other newcomers are Norma Jane Sabiston, Landrieu's former chief of staff and a key member in her three previous Senate races, who'll serve as a senior adviser; T. Bradley Keith, her Senate state director since 1999; and Matthew Lehner, communications director in her Washington office.
The race is turning out to be Landrieu's toughest as she faces stiff competition from GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy and tea party conservative Rob Maness.
Polls show she's short of the majority needed to win without a December runoff.
"As Sen. Landrieu has done in all of her races, she is bringing on some of her longtime and trusted advisers to assist during the last month of the race to lead us to victory on Nov. 4," Landrieu campaign spokesman Fabien Levy told the newspaper.
