North Dakota’s GOP Sen. Kevin Cramer on Sunday asserted "there has to be an end" to President Donald Trump's fight to reverse the Nov. 3 vote tally.

In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Cramer said the Trump administration “at least” should “cooperate with a transition.”

"It's past time to start a transition, to at least cooperate with a transition,” he said. “I'd like to have a president that has more than one day to prepare, should Joe Biden, you know, end up winning this."

Yet, Cramer concedes, there wasn’t much of a chance of getting a “tidy” election.

"I know a lot of people would like a nice, tidy, historical sort of election,” he said. “But we don't have a traditional president. He didn't get there in a traditional way."

Yet Cramer said a transition will ensure that the country is “prepared.”

“We have a government to run, regardless of who the president is,” he said.

Cramer also said he does not agree with Pennsylvania’s Republican Sen. Pat Toomey that the election challenge by Trump is over.

“I don't know why we are so easily offended by a president who is carrying out all his legal options,” he said.

“Everybody just ought to just relax and let it play out in the legal way. We'll be just fine.,” Cramer said.
