Officials have briefed President Donald Trump on the suicide bomber attack in Kabul that killed at least 10 people near the Afghanistan intelligence agency compound, the Washington Examiner reported.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to CNN. At least five people were left wounded.
And The Washington Post reported the bombing comes just a week after militants stormed an intelligence agency training center in Kabul.
Monday's rush-hour attack occurred outside the main entrance to the security compound.
The bomber detonated his explosives near the entrance of the compound – just as people were in traffic heading to work, NPR reported.
"Uniformed forces closed off the main roads," Qadir Salem, a bystander, said. "Ambulances were seen leaving the scene, apparently taking casualties to hospitals."
