Amid President Donald Trump's Easter Sunday call for "no more DACA deal" to leverage his border security agenda against Democrat obstructionism, nonstop Trump critic Gov. John Kasich, R-Ohio, ripped the president as not being a "true leader."
Gov. Kasich, who lost to Trump in the 2016 presidential primary, suspended his campaign May 4, 2016, just one day after becoming the last major GOP challenger. He has not stopped opposing President Trump since.
The nonstop GOP opposition to the president might signal a potential rare primary challenge to Trump in 2020 by Kasich, which he had not ruled out.
Kasich, though, might also seek a presidential ticket nomination as an Independent challenger, according to Politico.
