President Donald Trump tweeted his positive reaction to news reports on Tuesday that said optimism is soaring in the United States and jobs are being created.
Trump's tweet about optimism was in response to a Bloomberg story that reported on a poll of 141 CEOs on a variety of economic issues in February.
The poll results show that The Business Roundtable's CEO Economic Outlook Index went up 19.1 points in the first quarter of 2017 and now stands at 93.3. The number is a way to gauge the economic health of the nation by taking into consideration business leaders' feelings on revenue, capital spending, and employment.
The increase is the largest since the fourth quarter of 2009, Bloomberg reports.
Trump's second tweet was in regards to employment numbers that showed increases in the fields of construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and mining last month.
