The scandal surrounding emails found on a laptop reportedly belonging to Hunter Biden will be brought up by President Donald Trump during Thursday night's presidential debate even if the moderator doesn't mention it, Jason Miller, a senior advisor for Trump's reelection campaign, said Monday.

"If Kristen Welker, the moderator, doesn’t bring it up, I think you’re pretty safe to assume that the president will," Miller told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo. "Again, these are real simple questions that Joe Biden needs to answer to the American public."

Biden is a "47-year fixture in the swamp in Washington, D.C.," said Miller, and the actions on display in the emails, including that Biden was allegedly collecting money through his son, Hunter, and his connections with Ukraine and China, show a pattern of corruption.

"This is a big part of the reason why voters rejected Hillary Clinton in 2016 and why they're going to reject Joe Biden in 2020," said Miller. "Voters are sick and tired of politicians going to Washington, getting elected and getting themselves and family members rich, selling access to their office while other people get left behind."

He added that the revelations that have been uncovered show that the Biden family's actions pose "serious national security issues" and that Biden is "compromised, clearly compromised by the Chinese, if not multiple other governments."

Biden has also "dodged" questions about whether he is the "big guy" referenced to in the emails as the person to receive a cut of Chinese money heading to Hunter Biden and other family members, said Miller.

Thursday night's debate is to be about foreign policy, Miller added, but the "Debate Commission is now trying to move the goalposts again and work in a bunch of other issues."

Trump will also talk about "Biden's support for endless wars" and the "pallets of cash to Iran" as part of the Obama-era Iran Nuclear Deal.

"And then, you better believe we’re going to talk about all the foreign corruption, the foreign money that’s been coming into the Biden family, and if Joe Biden can’t answer these real simple questions, you know he’s running from something," said Miller.
