Donald Trump Friday slammed conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, who will be one of the moderators at the Sept. 16 GOP debates, as a "third-rate radio announcer," a day after he had difficulty answering Hewitt's questions about leaders of major terrorist groups.
"This third-rate announcer that I did the show for, it was like 'gotcha, gotcha,'" Trump told
MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, adding the answer in as part of an answer to a question from The Washington Post's David Ignatius about his plans for the Iranian nuclear deal.

"And by the way, when you say Quds vs. Kurds, I thought he said Kurds," Trump told Ignatius. "Every question was do I know this one and that one. You know, he worked hard on that. I thought he said Kurds," Trump said. "By the way, I do think the Kurds, while we're on it, I do think the Kurds are not being utilized properly and not being treated properly by us."
On the radio show,
Hewitt asked Trump about Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the Quds Force in Iran, and other top Mideast officials — and Trump attacked him.
"Well, that is a 'gotcha' question, though, you know, when you're asking me who's running this, this, this," Trump told Hewitt.
