Mike Huckabee on Wednesday rebuked "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski's criticism of his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
"She deserves better from other women and it just amazes me that even the women who say they are feminists are doing everything they can to discredit my daughter," Huckabee said Wednesday evening on Fox News, according to Politico.
The former Arkansas governor was referring to comments that Brzezinski made Wednesday morning about Huckabee Sanders' defense of a President Donald Trump tweet that could have been interpreted as sexist.
"I feel sorry for you," Brzezinski said, about the press secretary.
"My daughter stands strong and tough and walks into that lion's den of a press room every day, and represents women and represents the president and represents strength in an incredible way," Huckabee said in the Fox News interview.
Huckabee has taken on critics of his daughter before.
Earlier in December, he slammed talk show host Chelsea Handler for her comments about Huckabee Sanders.
"The things that Chelsea Handler said were vile and vulgar," Huckabee said.
