President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign is donating funds to about 100 House Republicans who are facing challengers in November, The Hill is reporting.
The contributions were announced on Thursday, but the names of those receiving money was not disclosed.
"We donated these funds from our campaign directly to theirs as a boost to these members of Congress so we can maintain the momentum of the Trump agenda, including record job creation and economic growth," said Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.
"This is just one step in our plans to commit our resources and strategic support to these campaigns in the mid-terms."
A Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday showed voters favored Democrats over Republicans 51-39 percent in a generic House race.
