Gov. Hogan Predicts 'Battle Ahead' for 'Soul' of GOP

GOP Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Sunday predicted a “real battle” is ahead for the “soul of the Republican Party.”

In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Hogan said the party has a “winning message — we just had a bad messenger” in former President Donald Trump.

“I think there's going to be a real battle for the soul of the Republican Party, and the battle is just beginning,” Hogan said.

“I think some of us are going to stand up and try to fight for the party that we believe in that we've been a part of for so long. There's going to be folks that want to continue to head down this road of Donald Trump.”

“We're going to figure out whether we're going to be a party that can win elections or not,” he said.
