The conservative Heritage Foundation on Tuesday tapped Kay Coles James to be its new president, replacing the ousted Jim DeMint, the Washington Examiner reported.
James was actually spearheading the search committee to find a successor to DeMint, axed 8 months ago in a dispute over the direction of the think tank.
James has worked for each of the past Republican presidents except for George H.W. Bush, including President Donald Trump’s transition team.
"We got a good person. Harmony reigns," a board member told the Examiner.
