Former White House policy adviser Sebastian Gorka used the spat between fellow socialist House members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota to decry what he mocked as the hypocrisy of Democrats, particularly on Capitol Hill.
“There’s an old phrase when it comes to the radical left and it has now kicked in: Sooner or later the revolution eats itself. And that is what we are witnessing right now,” Gorka said on Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.” on Tuesday.
Gorka was referring to Omar’s criticism of fellow members of Congress, including “Squad” member Ocasio-Cortez, for getting the COVID-19 vaccine in contradiction of guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which prioritize healthcare workers, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.
“And let’s just look at what happened with AOC and her Instagram post of her getting the vaccine,” said Gorka, who is the substitute host this week for Newsmax TV’s “Greg Kelly Reports.”
“We are told day-in, day-out, by [Speaker of the House] Nancy Pelosi — as she’s standing in front of her $23,000 fridge, eating that $100 a gallon ice cream, like Marie Antoinette with the ‘let them eat cake’ expression on her face — that ‘We’re here for the little guy. The Democrats are here for the little guys.’ And hang on for a second. Every single member of the Squad, Nancy, everyone of the swamp dwellers on Capitol Hill, has picked up their paycheck in the last nine months.
“The people we should be helping are the people who are being crushed across America, especially because of Democrat governors who are saying: ‘Restaurants, close ‘em down. Churches, close ‘em down.’ It’s an outrage.
“The hypocrisy of the Democrats knows no bounds.”
