Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-N.J., became the fourth Republican in the House of Representatives to call for Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt to resign.
Reps. Carlos Curbelo, R-Fla., Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., and Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., also called for Pruitt to step down or be fired, ThinkProgress reported. And Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, is the only Republican in the Senate calling on Pruitt to resign.
Pruitt has been under fire amid reports of his spending of taxpayer money at the agency, including building a soundproof booth in his office, repeatedly using first-class travel, and employing an around-the-clock security detail, CNN reported.
The Government Accountability Office has said that the soundproof violated federal law, CNN reported.
