Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday bashed a CNN reporter's work as "horses***" and "trickery" after being called out on an earlier claim that he had no dealings with a Ukrainian energy oligarch.
President Donald Trump's personal attorney told CNN last month that he no connection to Dmitry Firtash, who is charged with conspiracy by the U.S. and living in Vienna, Mediaite reports.
"I have nothing to do with Firtash," the former two-term New York City mayor said at the time. "I don’t know why you want to create that false impression.
"I don't represent him," Giuliani continued. "I never met him — and I am neutral on his case."
However, CNN KFile reporter Andrew Kaczynski got Giuliani to confirm Wednesday that he had met with Firtash's attorney in Manhattan while trying to find negative information on Hunter Biden, the son of former vice president and 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
Kaczynski questioned Giuliani on the discrepancy — and that's when he slammed the reporter's work.
"I didn’t mislead you," he said. "I told you my state of mind at the time and I was making clear I never met him.
"Figure it out for yourself — and what does it matter?" Giuliani posed. "No matter what I tell you, you will make it somehow suspicious.
"This is a waste of time for me."
