United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage will reportedly visit President-elect Donald Trump's transition team in Washington early next month.
The visit is viewed as an attempt by Farage to establish links with Trump's team and undermine Prime Minister Theresa May, who has not yet met with the president-elect, the Telegraph reported.
Farage is in "constant contact" with the Trump transition team, one unnamed source told the Telegraph.
May was forced Monday to deny Farage would represent her government after Trump tweeted he would "do a great job" as British ambassador to the United States, per Politico.
In a commentary for Breitbart News, Farage wrote he "would do anything to help our national interest and to help cement ties with the incoming Anglophile administration."
