Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Thursday fired back at an unflattering observation she would be the oldest person ever inaugurated if she won the 2020 election.
In a sharp reply that earned an applause at the sixth Democratic presidential debate, the 70-year-old Warren quipped: "I'd also be the youngest woman ever inaugurated."
In a question regarding comments by former President Barack Obama that women are "indisputably better" leaders than men, she added:
"I believe that President Obama was talking about who has power in America, whose voices get heard," she said. "I believe he's talking about women and people of color and trans people and people whose voices so often get shoved out."
