Some members of Donald Trump's presidential campaign were surprised at how far off their own polls were coming into Election Day.
According to The Hill, a senior Trump campaign source said exit polls showed Trump would lose the presidency to Democrat Hillary Clinton. The campaign's internal polling was also wrong, according to the report.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's daughter Sarah has done work for the Trump campaign and told a Daily Beast reporter the campaign's polling was in fact wrong.
The final RealClear Politics polling average entering Tuesday's election gave Clinton a 3.2-point lead.
CNN's Jake Tapper said on the air Tuesday night a Trump victory would "put the polling industry out of business."
Pollster John Zogby, on the other hand, commended the job pollsters did leading up to the election.
"The big winners tonight are the pre-election pollsters, who in many ways have gotten this right," Zogby told Newsmax TV. "Yay to my profession."
Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, herself a pollster, suggested in a tweet that she was the only pollster who truly got the race right:
