The argument "The Apprentice" producers cannot release recordings of Donald Trump is "total bullshit," according to media mogul Barry Diller.
There is no legal reason why "Apprentice" creator Mark Burnett cannot make available footage from the show, Diller told Politico Playbook in an interview posted Tuesday.
"I think it’s total bullshit," Diller said about Burnett's reported claim to the contrary.
"There are no legal obligations. To who? For what? I mean, the legal obligations are they own the copyright. They can do whatever they want with it."
The issue comes in the wake of a hot-mic videotape of Trump's 2005 visit to "Access Hollywood" that was posted last Friday by The Washington Post, capturing Trump's sexually aggressive brag his "star" status allowed him to do anything he wanted with women.
The following day, ex-"Apprentice" producer Bill Pruitt said there were "far worse" Trump outtakes from the show.
One unnamed source said Burnett "is pro-Trump and has made clear to his teams that he will sue anyone who leaks," according to BuzzFeed News – a claim Burnett has denied, CNN Money reported.
