President Donald Trump cast a wide net of targets during his rally in Phoenix on Tuesday night, including the chief executive officers who recently bolted from his advisory councils.
So far, 15 CEOs and top executives have resigned in the wake of the president's reticence to single out and condemn white supremacists after the tragic day of violence in Charlottesville two weeks ago.
"When it got a little heat with the lies from the media, they sort of said, 'Oh, we'll take a pass,'" Trump said Tuesday night, Axios reported. "I remember the ones that did."
Trump was forced to disband two councils last week after the CEOs leading them walked away.
That came the day after a message that he would find people to take the places of CEOs who resigned.
