Dolly Parton said Saturday that the 2016 election was "the craziest thing I ever seen in my life" and that she has not decided on who she's going to vote for in November.

"I watch it all the time," the country music icon, 70, told Christine Romans. "I think it's the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life.

"I think, 'Oh my God, what is happening?'

"The only thing that saves us all is the fact that we do know that we're great. This is a great country.

"It's not just up to one person," Parton added. "Whoever gets in the White House, they'll not be able to do it all. That's why we have all those people that work together.

"You hope for the best — and we'll pray hard for them, whoever it is."

Romans interviewed Parton about her latest CD — "Pure and Simple," which was released on Friday — and an upcoming national tour.

But Parton still has not made her choice yet.

"I usually don't talk politics, who I'm voting for and all," she said.

"But right now, I am not decided. … I'm just watching it close."
