Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens on Tuesday decried the treatment they received from protesters outside a restaurant in Philadelphia on Monday, blaming Democrats.
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, and Owens, the group's chief spokesperson, were met by protesters after having breakfast at the Green Eggs Café.
According to the two, who took video of the incident, protestors affiliated with antifa, a movement of anti-fascist groups, yelled, chanted, and eventually dumped a cup of water on Kirk while following them.
"We do want to warn the American people that this is the new face of the Democrat party," Kirk said during an appearance the two made on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday.
"They want us to apologize or back away from our support from the president," Kirk continued. "They are so frustrated that this president is succeeding. ... You see them losing their minds and they're resorting to these mob, thuggish tactics."
"People are starting to recognize the left, the Democrats, they are the party of hate," Owens said.
